One of the main reasons PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds (PuBG) has lost its place as the definitive battle royale experience is an over-emphasis on development in the wrong areas.įrequent new maps have done little but dilute the player base and its opinion of the title, while I am a fan of the original two maps, everything since I have found woefully substandard and detrimental to my enjoyment of the game.īeing unable to choose which map I wish to play on honestly strips away my desire to play the game while the smaller maps have their supporters, many of those who have played PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds (PuBG) since day one find them overly constricting and less tactical than the full-sized 8×8 map we originally bought into. PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds (PuBG) is still in active development and enjoys frequent updates, new content and seasonal events. Welcome to “ Is it Dead or Dying?”, each edition we check out a different game widely believed to be “dead” to see if there is any development or community activity and determine if it is genuinely beyond recovery.
